Mothers’ Union
The Mothers' Union at St. Cuthbert's was founded in June 1907 and has continued ever since. At the present time we have 17 members.
We meet on the last Thursday afternoon of the month in term time, except for December when we meet early in the month for our Christmas lunch. In the summer we hold some evening meetings. We have interesting speakers at our monthly meetings and we join other members for a Deanery Lady Day Service, a Quiet Afternoon with a guest speaker and afternoon tea. We also attend the yearly Mothers' Union service in Durham Cathedral and we hold a fund raising event once a year with all proceeds going to the overseas work of the Mothers' Union.
We welcome new members throughout the year. For further information, or to get involved, please contact us.
