Tea Dance at St Cuthbert's

In partnership with the Alzheimer's society

On Saturday 5th August St Cuthbert’s hosted its second annual Tea Dance. It was such a joy to welcome so many people into the church hall for tea, sherry, vast quantities of cake and a wonderful variety of different dance styles, including Ceilidh, Iranian dance, line dance and ballroom. We also had the privilege of hosting the Alzheimer's Society, who worked with us during the planning and were on hand on the day to help us make our space dementia-friendly.

This year’s tea dance was part of a programme of events to raise money for Future Foundations - a project to safeguard the long-term future of our historic Grade 1-listed building, while transforming it into a vibrant hub of worship, heritage and culture for the whole community.  Keep your eyes peeled on our Facebook page for future events, which we would be delighted to welcome you to.

For more information on our work to open our doors to the local community please visit our Future Foundations page (https://stcuthbertsdarlington.org.uk/about/future-foundations) or pop in to see our plans for the future of the building. St Cuthbert’s Church is open Tuesday-Saturday 11am-1pm, and for Sunday worship at 11am.
