Worship at St. Cuthbert's
The parish church of St. Cuthbert's is the only Grade I listed building in the town centre,
but we are more than just custodians of a glorious building; we are a working parish church, that warmly
welcomes people from all walks of life. The church is a living sign of God's presence with us; a sanctuary
of stillness in the busy life of the town; and a place of prayer and witness to God's love for us all.
We invite you to our regular services, which are in the Anglican tradition, with a robed choir during term
times.

FAQs
We recommend that you arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of the service.
For those less able to walk, we have limited parking in the church yard. However there is plenty of parking
in town centre car parks. Alternatively there are excellent public transport links to Darlington Town
Centre.
Sung Eucharist is normally 1 hour 15 minutes. Evensong lasts around 1 hour and said services last for around
45 minutes.
Children and young people are warmly received at St. Cuthbert's. There is a children's area to the rear of
the church for little ones, but all are welcome to take part in the service. We also have age-specific pew
bags, which help to keep children engaged.
At St. Cuthbert's we aim to make the building and the services as accessible as possible. The building has
wheelchair and mobility scooter access through the South Door and is fitted with a hearing loop. Large-print
service sheets are also available. If there is anything we can do to improve your experience, please do let
one of the Church Wardens know.
We welcome anyone who wants to explore their faith and seeks to be confirmed. Please
contact us for more information.
