St. Cuthbert's Worship Choir
The St. Cuthbert's Worship Choir is our robed choir for all ages, which exists to lead our congregation in sung worship at our 11am Sunday services. We are a very friendly bunch of singers and worshippers, and each week we lead hymns, a sung eucharist and an anthem in a mixture of unison, 3- and 4-part harmony. We sing from musical score, accompanied by our wonderful organist. Our Worship Choir also sings for occasional weddings, baptisms and other services of celebration, such as Ascension Day and over the Christmas and Easter periods.
We currently rehearse on a Thursday evening, 7-8:30pm in St. Cuthbert's Church centre, and before services on a Sunday morning at 10am - anyone is welcome to join us! If you are interested in being part of our robed choir, please contact our Community Music Director at [email protected].
Singers of all ages are welcome to join our Worship Choir, but we also have a specific singing group for 8-12-year-olds. Please see our Soul Children for further details.
Visiting Choirs & Organists
St. Cuthbert's Church Choir is on holiday for a few Sundays during the year. These generally coincide with school holidays. We would like to extend an invitation to any visiting choirs and/or organists to come and perform.
